Terms of Use

1. Agreement and related policies

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to the DeenConnect mobile application, deenconnect.app, and related services (together, the "Service"). "DeenConnect," "we," "our," and "us" refer to the operator of the Service. These Terms incorporate our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Copyright and Takedown Policy, and Child Safety Standards. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility and age-based features

You must provide accurate age information and meet each applicable minimum:

• 13 or older: create and keep a DeenConnect account and use account-based community features.
• 15 or older: publish social posts, photos, videos, and clips.
• 16 or older: use direct messaging and marketplace features, including marketplace conversations.
• 18 or older: access, contribute to, create, or withdraw from donation campaigns.

Guests may use public religious tools made available without an account but cannot use account-based interaction features. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian should review these Terms with you and must provide consent where local law requires it. You may not bypass age gates or misstate your birth information. We may suspend an account if we reasonably believe the user does not meet an applicable age requirement.

3. Accounts and security

• Provide accurate, current information and keep it updated.
• Use only an account you are authorized to use and do not sell, transfer, or share access.
• Protect your password and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access.
• Do not impersonate another person or organization or falsely claim verification, authority, affiliation, or credentials.
• You are responsible for activity through your account to the extent permitted by law.

4. User content and the license you give us

"User Content" includes anything you upload, post, transmit, stream, list, comment, or otherwise make available through the Service, including text, photos, videos, clips, audio, music, messages, listings, reviews, campaigns, usernames, and profile materials. You retain ownership of rights you hold in your User Content.

By submitting User Content, you grant DeenConnect a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt for technical formatting, display, perform, distribute, and make that content available as needed to operate, secure, moderate, promote, and improve the Service. This license ends when the content is deleted from our systems, except where a copy remains in another user's message, share, backup, legal record, or as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy or required by law.

You represent that you own or have all rights, licenses, consents, and permissions needed for your User Content and for this license. You remain responsible for your content and for consequences of publishing it.

5. Copyright, music, and other rights

Uploading a video does not automatically give you rights to the music, audio, images, people, logos, translations, recitations, or other material in it. Only upload material you created, licensed, received permission to use, or may lawfully use. Giving credit alone does not replace permission. We may remove or restrict material and may suspend or terminate repeat infringers. Rights holders and authorized agents can use our Copyright and Takedown Policy. Knowingly submitting a false notice or counter-notice may have legal consequences.

6. Community conduct

You must follow the Community Guidelines. Among other things, you may not use the Service for child sexual abuse or exploitation, grooming, threats, harassment, hate, terrorism or violent extremism, non-consensual intimate content, scams, fraud, illegal goods, doxxing, malicious code, spam, artificial engagement, or infringement of another person's rights. You may not encourage self-harm, exploit a vulnerable person, or use religious discussion to threaten, shame, defraud, or target others.

7. Reporting, blocking, and moderation

The Service provides tools to report content or accounts and block users. DeenConnect may investigate, preserve evidence, limit reach, remove content, restrict features, reject listings or campaigns, suspend accounts, terminate accounts, or contact authorities where appropriate. Moderation may involve automated signals and manual review, but we do not promise to review every item before it appears or to detect every violation. Text may be rejected before it is accepted. Social posts containing media, media videos, and new profile photos may remain unpublished while an administrator reviews them, and review timing is not guaranteed. We may act based on context, severity, user history, risk, legal obligations, and available evidence. We may notify you when queued content is approved or rejected. You may contact support to ask about an enforcement decision, but we do not guarantee reversal or disclosure of confidential safety information.

8. Direct messages

Direct messaging is available only to users age 16 or older. Do not send unwanted sexual, exploitative, threatening, deceptive, or commercial messages. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Participants can retain or share messages, and authorized personnel may access them where necessary to investigate reports, protect safety, operate the Service, or comply with law.

9. Marketplace

Marketplace use is limited to users age 16 or older. Unless we expressly say otherwise, DeenConnect is a venue and is not the buyer, seller, broker, delivery service, insurer, or party to a transaction between users. Users are responsible for listings, communications, condition, legality, payment, delivery, taxes, returns, and disputes. Inspect items and use safe meeting and payment practices. Do not list prohibited, stolen, counterfeit, recalled, dangerous, regulated, or unlawful goods or services. We may review or reject listings but do not guarantee identity, quality, safety, legality, availability, or completion of any transaction. Affiliate or DeenConnect-managed listings will be identified where required.

10. Donations and payments

Donation features are limited to users age 18 or older and may be unavailable, limited, or subject to additional review. DeenConnect is a technology platform, not a bank, charity, fiduciary, financial adviser, or guarantor of a campaign. A campaign's presence or review status is not an endorsement and does not guarantee accuracy, eligibility, use of funds, tax deductibility, outcome, or repayment. Campaign organizers must provide truthful information, use funds only for the stated lawful purpose, and supply verification when requested.

If payments are enabled, a third-party processor such as Stripe may apply separate terms, identity checks, fees, holds, refunds, chargebacks, and payout restrictions. Contributions may be final except where law, these Terms, a stated campaign rule, or the payment provider requires otherwise. DeenConnect does not issue charitable tax receipts unless expressly stated. Never use a campaign for fraud, money laundering, prohibited activity, or to evade sanctions or financial rules.

11. Religious and informational content

Quran text, translations, transliterations, duas, prayer calculations, reminders, and other religious material are provided for general informational and devotional use. Translations and transliterations are human interpretations and may differ. Prayer calculations can vary by method, location, authority, and local practice. DeenConnect is not a scholar, mosque, fatwa service, medical provider, or legal adviser. Verify important religious questions and times with a qualified local authority. Report suspected text, attribution, source, or licensing errors to support.

12. Service use and technical restrictions

You may not:

• Access the Service through unauthorized automation, scraping, harvesting, or bulk account creation.
• Probe, bypass, disable, or interfere with authentication, age gates, security rules, moderation, rate limits, advertising controls, or access restrictions.
• Upload malware, exploit vulnerabilities, disrupt infrastructure, or use the Service to attack another system.
• Reverse engineer or copy protected parts of the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
• Use another user's personal information for surveillance, harassment, discrimination, unsolicited marketing, or unlawful purposes.

13. Ads and third-party services

The Service may display advertising and include links or integrations operated by third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products, transactions, terms, or privacy practices. Advertising does not necessarily represent an endorsement. Your use of third-party services may be governed by separate terms.

14. Our intellectual property

Except for User Content and third-party material, the Service and its software, design, branding, logos, and original content are owned by or licensed to DeenConnect and are protected by applicable law. Subject to these Terms, we give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. No other rights are granted.

15. Suspension, termination, and deletion

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion. Account deletion removes conversations involving your account for all in-app participants, but it cannot remove screenshots, exports, or other copies another person made outside the Service. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access, remove content, or preserve information if we reasonably believe there is a violation, legal requirement, security threat, risk of harm, or need to protect the Service or others. Where practical and appropriate, we may provide notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination remain in effect, including ownership, licenses needed for retained material, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute-related provisions. Deletion and retention are further described in the Privacy Policy.

16. Service changes and availability

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features and may impose reasonable limits. We do not guarantee that the Service, content, messages, saved items, or any feature will always be available, error-free, or preserved. Keep your own copy of content you need.

17. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." DeenConnect disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant the accuracy of user, marketplace, donation, religious, location, advertising, or third-party content; the conduct or identity of users; or that the Service will be uninterrupted or secure. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

18. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DeenConnect and its operators, contributors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity, or harm arising from user conduct, content, listings, campaigns, transactions, or third-party services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including rights available under applicable consumer-protection law. This section should be reviewed together with the laws that apply where you live.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, risk, or law. We will post the updated date and provide notice of material changes where appropriate. We may require you to accept a new version before continuing to use account features. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
