Copyright and Takedown Policy

Effective and last updated: August 4, 2026

DeenConnect respects copyright and expects users to share only material they own or are authorized by law to use.

1. What This Policy Covers

This policy explains how DeenConnect handles copyright reports involving user-uploaded or user-shared material. It covers videos and clips; songs, music, and other audio, including audio contained in a video; photographs, images, artwork, graphics, text, comments, marketplace listings, donation content, and other protected works.

Copyright may apply even when only part of a song, video, image, or other work is used, or when it appears in the background of a recording. Crediting the creator, buying a copy, or having a streaming subscription does not by itself grant permission to upload the work. Some uses may be authorized by a license or permitted by law.

2. User Responsibilities

By uploading content, users confirm that they own the content, have permission from the relevant rights holders, or are otherwise legally permitted to share it. Users must retain any licenses or permissions needed to support that use and provide them if DeenConnect requests verification.

3. Submit a Copyright Takedown Request

A copyright owner or an authorized representative can send a request to deenconnect.help@gmail.com with the subject line Copyright Takedown Request. Include:

  • Your full legal name and contact information, including email, mailing address, and telephone number.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  • The exact DeenConnect content to review, including a link, post or content identifier, and username when available.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Screenshots or other supporting records may help us locate and evaluate the content. We may request missing information before acting on an incomplete request. The in-app reporting tool alerts our moderation team, but a rights holder should use this email process for a formal copyright takedown request.

4. How DeenConnect Responds

DeenConnect reviews sufficiently detailed requests and may remove or restrict access to reported content while the request is evaluated. We may notify the uploader, request additional information, preserve relevant records, and share the notice or portions of it when reasonably necessary to handle the request or comply with law. DeenConnect may decline requests that do not identify the rights, content, or authority involved.

5. Copyright Appeals and Counter-Notices

If content was removed because of a mistake or misidentification, the uploader may email deenconnect.help@gmail.com with the subject line Copyright Appeal. Identify the removed content and its previous location, explain why the removal was mistaken, provide supporting permission or license information, and include your full name, contact information, and signature.

A counter-notice submitted under United States law must also contain every statement and item required by 17 U.S.C. Section 512, including the applicable statements concerning penalty of perjury, court jurisdiction, and acceptance of service. We may forward a valid appeal or counter-notice to the original reporter and handle restoration in accordance with applicable law.

6. Repeat Infringement

DeenConnect may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe copyright or repeatedly upload content removed following valid copyright complaints. We consider the number, nature, and circumstances of complaints and may act immediately in serious cases.

7. Misrepresentations and Other Rights

Copyright notices and appeals must be truthful. False or abusive submissions may result in account action and legal consequences. For trademark, privacy, harassment, or other concerns, use DeenConnect's in-app reporting tools or contact support.
